Do you have a PPI Complaint?
Banks, lenders and credit card companies have been found guilty of mis-selling a product known as Payment Protection Insurance, or PPI, to an enormous and almost unprecedented degree.
This wasn’t just some small time scam, carried out by small time, fly-by-night credit card companies – PPI was mis-sold to millions of customers, by the largest banks in the country, as well as numerous smaller operations.
However, the worm has turned. Customers with payment protection insurance complaints are now in a position to reclaim back billions of pounds between them, and you could be one of them without even realising it.
You could quickly and easily start your PPI claim with us right now.
Payment Protection Insurance
PPI is a product offered by most banks and lenders, designed originally to protect customers who had regular loan, mortgage or credit card repayments to make. The idea of payment protection insurance was to insure against an unexpected loss of income – such as a redundancy, or a long term illness – and cover those repayments for a period of time, until the customer was able to restore his or her income and resume making those repayments.
However, the purpose of payment protection insurance became corrupted along the way, and banks and lenders started treating PPI as less of a useful service, and more of a useful way to wring extra money out of their trusting and loyal customers.
Useless PPI
While PPI is not a useless product, or even a bad one, the PPI policies offered by banks and lenders were rarely of much use to their customers. A lot of customers did not want payment protection insurance added to the costs of their loans or mortgages, but were made to take it against their will, and sometimes even without their knowledge.
Those who did want payment protection insurance often found that when it came time to make a claim, their PPI couldn’t help them, or was of very limited help to them, due to the failure of the banks and lenders to check that the PPI was suitable for their customers’ needs. What use would PPI redundancy cover be to someone who is retired, or self employed?
